Spa day, minus the spa-day price tag
From fluffy towels to an at-home Shiatsu massage: Lidl’s wellness upgrades all come in under €25 each

Wellness in 2026 is looking a little less complicated. Forget the 5 a.m. wake-up call and the ten-step routine. One of this year’s biggest shifts in wellness is towards rituals that actually fit into everyday life, while fragrance is increasingly becoming part of the selfcare conversation and bodycare is set to have a moment of its own. The good news? A little luxury doesn’t necessarily require a weekend away, a treatment menu or a three-figure spa bill. With a few well-chosen upgrades, the bathroom, sofa and even bedtime can become part of the ritual.
Start with the hotel-towel feeling
Sometimes the easiest way to make an everyday shower feel less everyday is surprisingly simple: upgrade the towel. The LIVARNO bath towels, is made from 100% cotton and has a soft terry texture. Lidl itself describes it as a way to bring a wellness feeling into the bathroom which makes it a rather fitting first step in the home-spa routine.
Want to give the entire bathroom the treatment? The 12-piece LIVARNO towel set offers the fuller refresh while still staying below the €25 mark. No hotel booking required.
Roll with it
Next up: a few minutes dedicated purely to skincare. Start with a CIEN face mask and let it do its thing while you properly switch off for a moment. Once the mask comes off, the CIEN BEAUTY facial roller or massage stone can take over as the finishing touch to the ritual.
The rollers are designed for daily facial care, with a larger side for areas such as the cheeks, forehead, jaw and neck, and a smaller one for around the eyes and nose. A small addition to the bathroom shelf, but exactly the sort of simple ritual that turns getting ready for bed into actual me-time.
Set the mood
Scent is increasingly finding its place in the wellness conversation, with experts pointing to fragrance as a growing selfcare tool for 2026. Enter the LIVARNO aroma diffuser. Add a favourite scent, switch on the soft dimmable lights and lower the brightness until the room feels instantly calmer. Suddenly, the bathroom feels a little further away from the laundry basket and a little closer to somewhere you’d actually pay to relax.
Bring the massage home
Of course, the spa fantasy really starts to work when there’s a massage involved. The SILVERCREST® Shiatsu massage cushion uses four rotating massage heads and includes an optional heat function. It can be used on areas including the neck, back, shoulders and legs and switches off automatically after around 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes, sofa, phone on silent. Appointment confirmed.
Wrap up and switch off
Once the skincare is done and the diffuser is on, there is only one acceptable place to go: somewhere soft. A cosy LIVARNO plaid adds the cocoon factor every home spa needs, especially once autumn evenings start making staying in considerably more appealing than going out.
Add a silk pillowcase to the mix and even winding down starts to feel a little more luxurious. Soft against skin and hair, it is one of those small upgrades that makes bedtime feel less like the end of the day and more like the final step of the ritual.
And while a blanket and silk pillowcase may not traditionally appear on a spa treatment menu, we would argue that they absolutely should.
With these little upgrades all available for less than €25 each, the home spa might just be the easiest wellness appointment to keep.
